The War Room
Start runs, answer questions, approve stages and undo changes.
The War Room is where you work with the council. It opens in the side panel on the right; if it is closed, run SAMI: Open War Room.
Find your way around

Start a run
Type your task in the composer and press Enter (Shift+Enter adds a line). Attach files or folders with @-mentions; see Context and memory.
Answer the council's questions
Questions arrive one at a time. Pick a suggested answer or write your own (Ctrl+Enter confirms it), move with Next → and ← Back, and send the round with Finish. The council keeps asking until the task is clear.
Approve or confirm a stage
At level 1, each finished stage waits for ✓ Approve, ✎ Guide (continue with a note for the next stage) or ✕ Reject (end the run). At levels 1 and 2, the freeze card waits between stages for Confirm freeze; you can comment or suggest changes first. See Autonomy and approvals.
Resolve an objection
When a Guardian's NO needs your input, the War Room shows Veto needs resolving — the run will not abort with the reasons. Explain what was meant or how to fix it, then choose Explain / re-vote, and the council votes again. If the window closes first, the run moves on by itself and the objection stays on record.
Steer or stop a run
While a run is live, anything you send from the composer goes to the council as guidance when the next stage starts. The stop button next to Send ends the run. Files already written stay as they are; undo them in Tool Audit.
Review and undo
SAMI: Open Run Changes opens every file the run changed next to its version from before the run. In Tool Audit, ↩ Undo run reverts the files the latest run changed and moves the files it created to the trash; ↩ Rollback restores a single file; ⟲ Restore to before this stage reverts everything from that stage on. Terminal commands can't be undone: their side effects stay.
Preview a web page
Open Web Preview shows the open .html, .htm or .svg file, or the index.html at your workspace root, as a live page that reloads when the file changes.
Images and voice
Drag an image onto the composer or paste it: PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF work. For voice, click the microphone next to Send, or hold Ctrl+Shift+V while the War Room is visible; SAMI turns the recording into text. SAMI: Toggle Voice Input does the same from anywhere and copies the text to your clipboard.
Saved prompts
SAMI: Save Prompt stores a prompt in your account, SAMI: Insert Saved Prompt copies one to your clipboard, and SAMI: Manage Saved Prompts renames, edits or deletes them.
Replay and retry
SAMI: Open Last Run in Dashboard opens the run's replay in the web dashboard. SAMI: Retry Last Run sends your last task again.
How much detail you see
Full (the default) shows every contribution with its vote panel, Compact one line per contribution, and Minimal only the agents' activity. Switch with the view buttons in the War Room or the setting sami.view.verbosity.
