Troubleshooting
Answers for the situations people run into most.
The run seems stuck
It is probably waiting for you. At level 1, each finished stage waits for ✓ Approve; at levels 1 and 2, the freeze card waits for Confirm freeze; and in the first stage, the council may be waiting for your answers. Look for an open card in the War Room.
‘Run interrupted (server restart) — Continue?’
The connection to the run dropped, for example while the service restarted. Continue resumes the task with the earlier run's context; Dismiss leaves the run stopped.
The council went ahead without my answers
A clarification round went unanswered for too long, so the council continued with its best assumptions. Send your corrections as a new task.
An objection was recorded as unresolved
Resolution rounds are limited, so a run always finishes. When a NO isn't resolved in time, the stage moves on and the objection stays visible, in the War Room and in the run's replay.
The project checks didn't run
SAMI found no typecheck, lint, test or build commands for the project (an empty project has nothing to run yet), or the run wasn't connected to the desktop app.
A command was blocked
SAMI blocks destructive operations at every autonomy level. The council is told and looks for a safe way to reach the same goal.
The run paused partway through
It reached its usage budget. The current stage finished and your work is kept; see Credits and usage for how to continue. If a run did not start at all, or stopped between passes, your credit balance ran out: top up under Billing and start it again.
Undoing what a run changed
Run SAMI: Open Tool Audit and use ↩ Undo run for the whole run or ↩ Rollback for a single file. See The War Room.
Signing in doesn't work
Sign In to SAMI opens your browser to confirm; if that fails, use Sign In to SAMI with Email and Password. Under Desktop in the dashboard you can see and revoke desktop sessions.
Sending details to support
Run SAMI: Open Diagnostics, choose Copy all, and email the result with a short description of what happened to support@sami-agent.com. The diagnostic log never contains chat content, prompts or code.
